Discover Our Bespoke Block Paved Patios and Driveways

Block paving – sometimes referred to as brick paving – is a popular decorative method of creating a new surface. The key benefit to block paving is that the individual units can easily be lifted and replaced if they should suffer damage or become worn down over the years.

Using these blocks helps people achieve many different laying patterns and Hardy’s Driveways has many years of experience with all of them. We recommend this option for driveways, pavements, patios, and walkways.

Block paving is a stylish and sturdy addition to practically any property. When correctly maintained, your block paved surface is going to outlast many traditional materials that are often utilised for the same purpose!

What is Block Paved Surfacing Used For?

For residential homeowners, block paving is commonly used as a surface for driveways and patios, while commercial uses include pavements, road surfacing, and more!

Our Unique Patio and Driveway Service

For the Hardy’s Driveways team, customer satisfaction is everything, so we would never consider a project to be completed if the client isn’t 100% happy with what’s been carried out. This dedication extends to all of our projects, regardless of size and complexity.

We’re very proud of the fact that we now get a lot of new work through referrals and recommendations by happy past customers.

Why Choose Block Paving?

As well as all the benefits already mentioned, block paving is environmentally sustainable. The material is porous, meaning that any rainwater will drain through the paving slabs as opposed to forming puddles. This helps the earth but also reduces the risk of flooding.

For your property in Dorset, block paving is ideal because it requires little maintenance. A simple soap-and-water cleaning method is all that is needed to maintain its decorative features.

Firstly, we will excavate the area to a depth of at least 150mm before applying the edging around your new surface. Our team will then add a layer of supporting sub-base to around 100mm in depth. The next step is to apply the sand and then begin laying the paving slabs one by one. We finish off the project by checking that all joints are filled.
